Growing Green with Jenny Jean is a 40-45 minute interactive and engaging educational storytelling program designed for children in preschool through 2nd grade with seasonal and toddler program options.
Jenny Jean brings her gardener’s tools, and puppet friends, Herman the Worm and Lady Bug Lu to tell stories and sing songs about growing things that are healthy and green! Jenny will invite children to create a rainstorm, sing a rainbow and learn the Growing Green Garden Dance in this well-rounded program that blends learning, movement and play.
At the conclusion of the program, Jenny will leave students with a special coloring sheet including tips for Growing Green and everything you will need for children to grow their own bean seed in class or at home.
Using puppets, props, movement, song and story, Jen designs and delivers interactive language experiences for young children and their caregivers.
Her programs are based in current research about what children need to succeed later in life. She enlists the American Library Association’s Every Child Ready to Read Five Practices; Talking, Reading, Singing, Playing and Writing in each of her Early Childhood Programs to ensure an optimum language experience for all young participants.
Jen’s Storytelling audiences include early childhood centers, daycare, preschools, libraries, homeschool groups, children’s museums and anywhere little ones are gathered to interact and learn.

Rich Language Experiences Are Important to Young Brains
